Automatic Shipping and Installation Charges

Shipping and Installation charges can be a challenge for your sales team. Forgetting to pass these along to your customers can result in loss of profit for your company.

Fortunately, Solatech has a feature that we call “Adjustments” and it is your secret weapon against leaving money on the table.

And Adjustments are not only surcharges, but can also be used for discounts. You are in control of selecting how and when any surcharges or discounts are applied.

As an added bonus, Solatech provides current Promotions (discounts) and Shipping Charges for Graber and Horizons. These are maintained by Solatech at no cost to you.

From your Admin section just select Adjustments from the lower navigational bar. You’ll see five tabs:

• Customer Discounts – create and maintain a library of your commonly used discounts. They can be automatic, requiring no input from the Sales Rep, or manual, which means they can be used on an as needed basic.
• Customer Surcharges – As with Customer Discounts, you can create shipping and installation charges specifically for your account. These can be automatic or manual.
• Item Surcharges – don’t want to display shipping or installation charges to your customers? Item surcharges allow you to pad the line item pricing with surcharges based on your criteria.
• Vendor Discounts and Vendor Surcharges – these are sister discounts and surcharges used for Purchase Orders only.

A Few Other Tips, Tricks & Benefits…

All About Reports You are probably aware that you can easily run reports from your Focus system. And that you can filter reports based on date ranges, order types and statuses. But are you taking advantage of the Export button? When you select Export, your data is downloaded and can be opened in Excel or Google Sheets. The exported data will give you much more information that you can use to run your company more efficiently.
